Nothing says Christmas like a seasonal scent, a secret Santa pleasing gift set, or a stocking stuffing tube of mini shower gels. Every Christmas there’s always one shop i make a trip into without fail, The Body Shop and this year is no different.
A few weeks ago i was invited along to The Body Shop to hear all about their Christmas releases, but this year isn’t just about seasonal scents, their Play For Peace campaign really epitomises the true meaning of Christmas. The campaign wants to inspire a generation to stop and play for once in a while; you’ll find hidden games in some of the packaging, bight colours and a percentage of every sale from the seasonal collection goes towards the Peace Play Project – helping refugee children to play in a safe place.
So, what’s in this years collection? Here are my faves…
The Finest Facial Mask Duo:
I don’t like to say i have favourites but the finest facial mask duo has to be my favourite of the bunch, in this brightly coloured box you get two of the infamous body shop face masks. This is a really me gift, it goes a step further than just buying someone just one face mask – the packaging of the box alone makes it more special, but the fact they’re individually packaged in glass jars makes them feel like a high end really thought through gift.
There’s a reason these masks are so well loved, as soon as i saw them being released a while ago they were an instant hit, but until i got this set i hadn’t had a chance to try one out. When i eventually got round to trying out the Himalayan Charcoal mask in the set, i was so astonished by the results i went straight into instagram stories to boomerang like there was no tomorrow just to express my love for this mask. It’s quickly become my favourite mask, i’ve never seen such obvious instant results with a face mask.. to use a good old phrase, this stuff really takes the biscuit.
It wouldn’t be Christmas at The Body Shop without some special seasonal scents and this year does not disappoint, with Vanilla Chai, Frosted Berries and Frosted Plum. If you’re looking for a £5 gift that actually looks like you’ve made a christmassy effort then this is your answer, or if you’re looking for something to get you feeling seasonal every morning, then treat yourself to one of these in the shower.
These are everything you’d expect from a body shop shower gel with a seasonal twist, the scents are just perfect. I’m keeping Vanilla Chai for myself for the run up to Christmas, and Frosted Berries has already been set aside as a gift for my best friend who is a body shop lover.
Just recently the dreaded dry winter hands have returned, so my hand cream collection (obsession) is 100% justified at this time of year, and in the case of seasonal scents i couldn’t not pick the Seasonal Hand Cream Gift Set at the event. Mini hand creams are deceptive because they go such a long way but are so much easier to carry round than a big 200ml tube, i always find the time i need them the most is while i’m out, so one of these seasonal scents will be kept in my bag at all times.
