It’s here ..kind of ..summer time. The one word printed in magazine articles and in the title of many a summer makeup tutorial is “dewy”, matte lips and skin are out and everyones trying to nail the healthy glow ready for the sun to kick in. Forget the multiple highlighters, there’s only one product i’m using this summer to get a glow and it’s skincare rather than makeup. Get your sunglasses out, we’re glowing.
This little glass bottle contains the Glowbiotics Probiotic HydraGlow Cream Oil, a lightweight hydrating cream oil that has been replacing my day cream. This isn’t a liquid highlighter or even a cosmetic, this is a probiotic skincare product – because we all know, no matter how much makeup you apply to achieve a glowing look, the best place to start is with your skincare routine.
I’ve been applying a few drops of this after cleansing and toning in replace of my normal day cream, because of it’s relatively thin formula a little goes along way so it’s ideal this comes with a dropper. Although this is thin in consistency it’s super hydrating without clogging pores, which is important to me seen as i have oily and blemish prone skin, i’d even go as far as saying this would be quite suitable for all skin types.
The results with this are instant, the first time i put this on i couldn’t believe how healthy it made my skin look, i was glowing without looking shiny, and definitely not glittery because like i said before this isn’t a highlighter. It gives the skin such a natural luminosity, the type of glow no makeup product can give you.. like you’ve had 10 hours of sleep and have been really good with drinking water lately.
When using this my skin feels perfectly hydrated without feeling heavy, i’m a big fan of facial oils but i don’t usually use them in the day, this is a cream so oil it bridges the gap between the two and means i can get the benefits of an oil during the day even with my already oily skin.
If you’re a regular here, you will have heard me bash on about the importance of hydrating oily skin several times before. But if you are new, all i’ll say is adding oil to oil might seem scary, but it’s a really important step in balancing out your skin and reducing oil production, so it shouldn’t be skipped!
This will awaken the most tired of skin (think jet lag or the morning after a few too many), make no makeup days a breeze and will be an essential in my holiday skincare lineup. I never wear makeup during the day on holiday, so this will make me feel slightly less like i need to hide behind my sunglasses, and more like people will need their sunglasses when they see me coming.
