Christmas was yesterday wasn’t it? Apparently the first two months of 2017 are gone and you know what that means? It’s nearly spring .. oh and February faves.
Yes, there’s another picture of the Kiehl’s midnight recovery concentrate. No, i will never stop. I’m realising now the majority of my favourites this month already have an entire post dedicated to them, but that means i just really love them right? Adding this really simple step into my skincare routine makes me feel like I’m doing so much more than i am, this is the type of product that you just know is beneficial. If you didn’t already spot it there’s a clue in the name with this; it works overnight so you don’t have to wait months to see it take effect which, for someone who is impatient with skincare like me, is a dream. I got this in early February and i have used it every night since, it has become a firm favourite in my skincare routine.
My latest makeup brand obsession is Charlotte Tilbury, i’ve been using the legendary lashes mascara for months now but ever since my best friend got me some of the lipsticks for Christmas i’ve been itching for more. The shade above has become my go to lipstick *spolier alert: it isn’t pillow talk*; this is amazing grace the perfect pink that bridges the gap between deep, rich and bright. If you want to hear more about the formula and the other shades i own check out my review of the matte revolution lipsticks here.
Sticking with lip products but drastically moving away from Charlotte tilbury’s high end price range, we have the brand new lip kits from Barry M; this is kind of an opposite from the lipstick above but i love it none the less. As soon as i put this on for the first time i knew this would make it into my favourite drugstore liquid lipsticks, its such a true liquid lipstick formula as opposed to a cream like other drugstore alternatives. The kits come with a liquid lipstick and matching liner and are everything you could want when it comes to a drugstore liquid lipstick: opaque colour, long lasting , quick drying and all around affordable! My last favourite is the seventeen skin wow concealer, i bought this when it first came out but i found it wasn’t high coverage enough to use on it’s own so i never really found myself reaching for it. Recently however my usual high coverage concealer was running out so i decided to layer this on top and i actually really liked it, it just gave a slight brightening effect on top of the high coverage finish and i found it just brought more light to my under eyes. Even though I’m layering two concealers now believe it or not I’m actually using less concealer all together and i’ve heard this is a dupe for YSL’s Touche éclat for £4.99..
