Summer glow in the winter months

The whole of january is a bit dull isn’t it? Usually i don’t get the whole “January blues” “blue Monday” thing but i think whats getting me down is the weather – January would be alright if it wasn’t so rainy and summer wasn’t a good 6 months away. Thankfully this Madame LA LA bronzing ball* came though my letter box at the perfect time to put a summer bronzed glow back into my skin.

When i think of summer makeup i think of easy and thats exactly what that is; the bronzing ball is designed for use without brushes and the domed shape allows for precise glide on application.

Right now in the depths of winter i’m at my palest, so currently I’m patting this lightly on my cheekbones as a bronze highlight to avoid looking too warm. I also love how this doesn’t just sit on top of my skin, its infused with vitamin E and coconut water so it feels like its a glow from within.

I have always been sceptical of cream products; in the past they’ve broken up the product underneath and have turned out to be a bit of a mess but i find this doesn’t disturb other products and blends seamlessly with my base.

I can see myself going much more full on with this in summer, if you naturally have a warmer complexion then you could go full on all year round but when i get a little bit of a tan i could be a bit more adventurous with this. Despite its name the bronzing ball doesn’t just work as a bronzer, i have used this as a bronze tone cream eyeshadow either left alone or topped with a powder eyeshadow or you can use this to give your collar bones a shimmery glow (which i’ll probably attempt in the warmer months).
