Whats a better way to show appreciation for my christmas presents than photographing and making a blog post out of them?
I didn’t have a blog last christmas so this is the first “what i got for christmas” post I’ve ever done, i want to add now that obviously I’m not bragging about what i got; i was just desperate to photograph all my new lovely things and show my appreciation for them!
Lets start off with my “main present” which this year was the Spectrum collections bombshell oyster roll brushes. Chances are if you own an Instagram account you’ve heard of them; self proclaimed as the worlds most instagrammable brushes, i think they’re spot on.
I’m actually worried that i won’t be able to bring myself to use these because i don’t want to ruin the prettiness, we’ll see.
The thing i was most surprised about getting were these two kiehl’s products, just as i was running out of my kiehl’s ultra facial cream mum surprised me with a new one, along with the ultra facial cleanser. I never would’ve thought mum would think of getting me these so i was so surprised to open a kiehl’s gift bag on christmas morning!
My mum obviously knows me well because she next surprised me with three different Zoella beauty products, the spa in a jar christmas set, ginger bread fizz bar and the scooper dooper bath soak! Having bought zoella beauty in the past i know i love the products, but i had never had any of the body creams before so I’m particularly excited about trying the mini in the spa in a jar set.
If you peek behind some of those photos you can see a little copper candle holder and glittery photo frame which i also got for christmas, they’re both from new look and will serve as beautiful photo props – anything copper or glittery is a great photo prop in my opinion!
My best friend got me loads of beautiful gifts as she always does, including these little lipstick charms from charlotte tilbury and a lush bath bomb and bubble bar. Once again scoring high points on the instagrammable gifts charts.
She also got me this rose gold initial bracelet from bloom boutique on notonthehighstreet, i actually put this in one of my gift guides and was secretly hoping my mum would buy it for me!
Finally, from my auntie, uncle and cousins i got this amazing sephora mask set. This is such a perfect present for me and i was especially surprised to get it because we don’t have sephora in the UK! I tried some of these masks while i was in New York and i loved them so i’m so glad to have some more to try out now!
Thats it for my what i got for christmas post. Obviously there are lots of presents I’ve missed out because 1) if i included everything here the post would be ten years long and 2) some gifts are less photogenic than others – i don’t think anyone wants to see multiple photos of gift cards! I love absolutely every present i received but i couldn’t include them all in one post, lots of them will make appearances at other times.
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas! – Maria x
