I know its September, but even if Zoella beauty released something christmas scented in June i’d still be excited.
Back in may/june time Zoe released her sweet inspirations range, it was the first time i’d ever bought anything Zoella Beauty and to say the least i fell in love; everything from the scent to the gorgeous packaging, was perfect. My Sweet Inspirations review is still one of my most loved posts, when Zoe said there would be a chance to get her christmas collection early i knew i had to get my hands on something and tell you all about it. I managed to pick up the ‘Secret Scenta Mini Mist Set’.
I got mine online after looking in a few superdrug stores; the christmas range is so extensive and well thought out so i really wanted to get a few other bits but everything else was sold out so i’ll have to wait until actual Christmas.
i’m so pleased i managed to get the secret scenta set; it contains 4 of Zoe’s fragrance mists, 3 previously available scents and her new ‘Bake my day’ ginger bread scent.
Each scent is 15ml which is a perfect handbag size, i’ve got a little bit of a perfume obsession but the big glass bottles are always too heavy to carry around so these are perfect. They’re small enough and light enough to fit in your makeup bag and unlike a lot of little fragrances actually have the spray at the top so you aren’t left pouring liquid on yourself.
Lets start off with ‘Bake my day’ or Christmas in a bottle as i’ve been calling it. I actually don’t know how Zoe and her team get the scents so right, when i first smelt this i was transported to Christmas. Initially the scent is strong but it settles to a perfect ginger bread scent; if i’m honest i don’t know if i’d use this as a body mist on myself just because i have the urge to cover my house in the scent come christmas time. Its so warm and lovely, i think once my tree is up i’ll definitely be using this as more of a room spray and when the range is released properly i will be buying the full size to spray around my house throughout autumn and winter.
I was pleasantly surprised when i first smelt ‘blissful mistful’ as i think its really similar to one of my favourite perfumes Daisy by Marc Jacobs! Of course its not the same scent but i do see a definite similarity between the two, i’m so impressed by the quality of these mists the scents are really present and i’d say are comparable to some eau de toilettes.
Let’s spritz is the fruity and fresh fragrance out of the bunch, i’m so pleased i got this in September as its still technically ‘summer time’ so this fruity mist will fit perfectly into the time of year. Blissful mistful might be a little bit strong for younger people so i think Let’s Spritz is a great light and fruity alternative. I love the colour scheme on this as well, look at that little polka dot lid nobody can resist polka dots.
Finally we have Sweet inspirations, the only mist in the collection i had previously owned and sampled. I’ve written a whole review on the sweet inspirations range which you can read here. This mist is the sweetest out of the 4, i’ve recently grown a love for sweet scents so i’m glad to have a handbag size of one of my favourite Zoella beauty fragrances.
Thats it for the whole Secret Scenta collection! I can’t wait to be able to shop the full range properly when they’re released, my Zoella beauty obsession is growing before my eyes and i don’t want to stop it. Have you managed to pick up any of the Christmas collection? Or what have you been eyeing up for your Christmas list? – Maria x
A little bit after i posted this Zoe actually tweeted me about this post which is so incredible, so if you’ve come from Zoe’s twitter i want to say thank you and welcome!
